“But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God's unfailing love for ever and ever”. Psalm 52:8

Aisle of applause one year ago

O sing to the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvelous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory. He hath remembered his mercy and his truth towards the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. Let the sea roar, and the fullness of it, the world, and they that dwell therein. Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together. Before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness will he judge the world, and the people with equity. Psalm 98:1, 3, 7-9

A year ago, on June 21st we had the great joy of bringing our beloved daughter home!
We expected 6 months of pregnancy without knowing what awaited us, we spent five months in NICU without knowing how and when we would leave there with our daughter.

We hoped in God all the time. And we keep waiting for him to ever lead us to do the best for our daughter. To lead us in this life so short here on earth. We learnt to trust and wait. We're still learning. I never want to stop learning!

It was an unforgettable moment when we left NICU with this aisle of applauses made with such love by nurses and mothers. God put many angels in our path. He still sends his angels to protect us, even when we can´t see them.

We thank God for this year with Vitoria at home. A year of joy and peace. A year without feeding tube, with no oxygen, no dressings or antibiotics in vein. A year sleeping in her room, close to us. Who could write this story with so many struggles and victories? Who could imagine what would happen, but God?

We still don´t have any idea about how it will be our life in the future. But I am sure I can trust God´s plans are the best for us.

If this aisle of applause, made by people, leaving a hospital, was so special, I imagine how wonderful it will be the aisle of applause that Jesus is preparing to welcome us in Heaven. It is worth wait and trust. It is worth believing.
